Jema Fowler Joins IEG’s Procurement and Contract Management Team, bringing the principles of positive self-development to recruitment.

Insight is very excited to announce the appointment of Jema Fowler as the newest consultant to join Andrew Pyman’s Procurement and Contract Management team. Jema will be focusing on the interim market and in particular our efforts within central government.

Following a recent interview with Jema only a few days into her new role with Insight, read more on why recruitment, what she plans to achieve at Insight and what else she’s famous for.

To recruitment or not to recruitment….

Initially recruitment was a short-term idea for Jema, after a friend suggested it would suit her. But soon, she was hooked. “I tried it, and I loved it. I thought, yeah this suits me down to a tee.”

Joining Insight is a step in helping Jema establish something more long term. After doing her initial research (speaking to rec2recs and other people within the recruitment industry) it was clear to her that IEG were well established and respected within their markets. But it was more than that that drew Jema in.

“I loved the idea of being part of the journey and not jumping straight into a huge team or organisation.”

Part of being on this journey is buying into the company values and Jema was more than happy to invest into IEG’s family orientated, less corporate feel as well as our clear targets and progression pathways.

“It was really important to me to find somewhere where I was going to stay and be able to progress. Once I enjoy something, I just want to get stuck into it and do it to the best of my ability and IEG offers me a chance to do this.”

Jema may not be your run-of-the-mill recruiter, as a published author on the topic of mindset coaching, but this is exactly why we are so thrilled to have her on board – to see how she applies these principles within a recruitment setting.

“I really enjoy self-development and have had periods in my life when I haven’t had a positive mindset and just needed to change my point of view on life. I want to help other people do the same and I think this is a massive part of recruitment because ultimately you’re helping somebody find that dream job.”
