Category Manager – ICT

Work closely under the direction of the Category Lead, responsible for c£75m of spend, developing commercial and sourcing strategies to meet the operational/technical requirements from the ICT teams, delivering sourcing activities, contract variations, performance management and other SRM activities.
Knowledge of G-Cloud and other CCS agreements is preferred, as well as experience of any of the following category areas, System Integrators, AMDS, Cyber, End User Compute, Networks & Infrastructure, SaaS/PaaS products, and IoT.
Responsible for the full spectrum of category management, with a larger percentage focus on contract management than sourcing and vice-versa.

Category Manager – Logistics

Work under the direction of the Category Lead, responsible for c£50m of spend, developing the commercial and sourcing strategies to meet the operational requirements from the logistic teams, delivering sourcing activities, contract variations, performance management and other SRM activities.
There will also be a role to play in the pandemic run down programme, reducing stock holding and ensuring any contracts related to this spend is managed, including engagement with DHSC and Cabinet Office.
Responsible for the full spectrum of category management, with a larger percentage focus on contract management than sourcing, especially on the new NHS SC Logistics contract worth c£700m p/a

The role covers all the indirect spend, including areas such as travel, fleet, estates, professional services.

Leading a core and central team of skilled Supplier Managers you will take overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering the organization’s supplier management framework. You will manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and ensure they are accountable for achieving these with their portfolio of Strategic, Preferred and Key suppliers.

Supplier Manager (Perm)

Managing a specific portfolio of circa 6 formal SRM Programme suppliers, you will provide active management of suppliers to maximize value over the full relationship life cycle and help to shape the approaches and processes for interaction with suppliers across the enterprise.
You will provides a structure by which supplier relationships are defined, governed, and improved to realise value in keeping with the strategic objectives of the business and for the mutual gain of both parties. This will involve developing supplier specific value release and implementation plans and ensuring strong and collaborative relationships with Strategic, Preferred & Key suppliers.

Performance & Risk Specialist (FTC – 12 months)

Working as part of a team of four Performance and Risk Specialists you will be responsible for auditing and approving new suppliers as well as monitoring the ongoing performance and risk rating of all NHS Supply Chain suppliers using standard processes and tools.  This will involve extracting large complex data sets, turning data into business-critical information and assessing the impact of change to prepare strategic and financial business management advice.  Working collaboratively is a key attribute for this role.
