About Our Team

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) Capital Development & Property team plays a vital role in enhancing the built environment for patients, staff, and visitors by offering an extensive array of design, development, and professional services. Their aim is to improve the overall healthcare environment, whilst minimising disruption to clinical services.

The Operational Estates and Facilities team is responsible for the management of the retained estate. They ensure that the operational aspects of the facilities, including maintenance and day-to-day operations, effectively support the smooth running of the estate.

Vision For the Future

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) and its academic partners hold prominent positions as global pioneers in clinical and medical research. A significant portion of this ground-breaking research originates in the Trust’s hospitals, necessitating the construction of new buildings or the redesign of existing spaces. The Capital Development & Property and Operational Estates & Facilities Management teams play a pivotal role in facilitating the successful integration of these advancements.

Furthermore, the population of Oxfordshire is experiencing rapid growth, leading to an increased number of patients with increasingly complex medical requirements seeking care. To meet these growing demands, clinical spaces are continuously evaluated and enhanced to ensure they effectively cater to the needs of patients.
