Melanie Whitehall-Smith joins Insight Executive to strengthen FM Service Provider team

Insight Executive is delighted to welcome Melanie Whitehall-Smith as Principal Consultant, joining our FM Service Provider team and further strengthening our offer across the market.
Melanie joins the business as part of the next stage of growth for the team, bringing recruitment experience, commercial understanding and a strong background in people management and operations. Her relationship-led approach and ability to build lasting partnerships make her a natural fit for a sector built on trust, responsiveness and service delivery.

Working as part of Adam Drewery’s team, Melanie will support clients and candidates across the FM Service Provider market, helping organisations secure the people needed to lead teams effectively, maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-performing services in fast-moving operational environments.

Her appointment reflects the continued demand for specialist recruitment support across the sector, particularly as organisations look for individuals who can combine operational understanding with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Alongside her recruitment background, Melanie has spent the last five years as Operations Director at a premium retail brand, where she was responsible for people management and operational leadership within a customer-focused business centred around quality, wellbeing and service experience.

Prior to this, she spent more than 15 years in recruitment leadership, giving her a strong understanding of both the people and commercial aspects of the industry. The combination of recruitment expertise, operational leadership and entrepreneurial experience gives Melanie a well-rounded perspective that clients and candidates alike value.
