An Adrenaline Filled Skiing Trip for Our 2021 High Achievers
Each year we treat our top performing consultants. Regardless of their level within the business to a high-fliers trip (abroad when permitting). The criteria for gaining a place on the trip is straightforward. It’s a laid out opportunity in front of the consultants when they join the company. The goal is to hit their annual stretch target or make 40 placements in a year.
This year founder Richard Collins was joined by fellow directors Andrew Pyman and Rob Parker, as well as Practice Lead Taj Singh and Senior Consultant Mike Kennedy. All of them enjoyed a fantastic 2021s – smashing their goals.
After a 2-year COVID hiatus, the team jetted off to Mayrhofen in Austria for a 4-day ski and winter sports trip. They touched down and were driven to the Olympic Sliding Centre Innsbruck. This is where they experienced a team bobraft followed by an Olympic bobsleigh with a professional driver.
From there they were driven to the ski resort of Mayrhofen where they hit the slopes. Then they received 4 hours of private ski lessons to get them up to speed. Whilst there, the team also had a chance to experience paragliding off the mountainside!
Here are some of the team’s highlights:
I know I’m the company adrenaline junkie, but I think it may have been a step too far asking the paragliding pilot to ‘try and make me scream’ when I was still hungover… – Richard
Red run was a bit scary – may need to learn to turn next time instead of slaloming down! – Andrew
My 3rd time skiing and first time managing to get off the nursery slopes and navigate a blue run. My main achievement was helping Andrew overcome his fear and show him the way down when the blue run turned red! – Rob
“skiing, completed it mate…” – the ever humble, Taj
This has been part of our company ethos from the start, to ensure that perks and bonuses are not calculated behind the scenes in mysterious ways, but clearly set out openly and honestly. As we grow, these events have got increasingly bigger and better, and we can’t wait to see what the next few years holds in store.
