On Sunday 21st September, a group of runners from our London and Cheltenham offices will take on the Cheltenham Half Marathon – a challenging 13.1-mile route through the town centre and surrounding countryside. Leading from the front is our Managing Director, Robert Parker, who has been championing our fundraising efforts and is determined to raise as much as possible for this incredible cause.
Why it matters
Every day in the UK, twelve families are given the devastating news that their child has cancer. Children with Cancer UK funds pioneering research to improve treatments, supports families through their toughest times, and is driving survival rates forward – from just 64% in the 1980s to over 84% today. Their mission goes beyond survival: to help children and their families rebuild their lives after cancer.
One challenge, one goal
Our runners – the Insight RoadRunners – have been training hard for the past three months, clocking up miles in all weathers. For some, this will be their first half marathon, while others are aiming for new personal bests. But all are united in one clear goal – to raise as much money as possible for this life-changing charity.
“I’m particularly proud of the whole team getting behind these efforts – whether they’re running or cheering from the sidelines. Let’s raise some money for this fantastic cause.” – Andrew Pyman, Director
