Hello everyone, Kyle Hookway here. I’ve been eager to host a professional networking event for a long time. However, nerves always seemed to get the better of me. It wasn’t until I joined the 5 am gym club last year that I began to push my limits and step outside my comfort zone. Inspired by this personal growth, I decided it was time to do as Nike does and Just Do It.

So last month I hosted Insight Executive’s inaugural Capital Networking event at our Manchester office. It was a pleasure to welcome familiar and new faces to the intimate and informal evening. We gathered to connect, discuss our industry, and share a few drinks and nibbles in a relaxed setting. This event was about creating a space where we could all feel comfortable exchanging ideas freely and to build meaningful relationships.

The feedback from the event has been great, and the conversations that it has driven have certainly highlighted an interest in events that support learning and development within public sector property and FM. In the name of fostering collaboration and continuous improvement, we’re already bubbling with ideas for the next one, with plans to introduce a guest speaker and possibly incorporate an engaging CPD component. The networking world really is our oyster, and we’re incredibly excited about the possibilities ahead
